The William T. Coakley Foundation

In 2005, the William T. Coakley Foundation was established as a way to honor the founder of the SMS Holdings Corporation, Bill Coakley, who tragically passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in 2004. The William T. Coakley Foundation has had a special relationship with the American Heart Association since its founding, contributing to the American Heart Association both financially and through the volunteerism of the WTC Foundation board members. That relationship of giving continues with the "Heart of the Game" tournament, as proceeds from this event and others will be passed through to the American Heart Association.
