SMS HOLDINGS NAMED BEST IN BUSINESS BY NBJ

Nashville, Tenn. July 28, 2008---SMS Holdings, one of the nation’s leading providers of services for the nation’s aviation, healthcare, hospitality and retail industries, was named Friday as the 2008 Best in Business winner by the Nashville Business Journal.

The publication, in announcing the award, cited SMS Holdings consistent growth, which now takes them to revenues of over $304 million with forecasts to reach over $500 million in the next five years.  The judges praised the company for its innovation and its ability to listen to opportunities, saying, “SMS is not hesitant to listen and react to employee suggestions, not afraid to outsource, not reticent to share the fruits of the collective labor with each team member.” The paper also noted the company’s low ego and high performance.

In accepting the award, company chairman Keith Wolken said that the honor is truly a reflection of the company’s team approach to business.  “We are proud to be saluted by the Nashville Business Journal, and most pleased that they recognized us for our team’s overall performance and accomplishments here in our 20th year of business.  We have always been a company that works together so that everyone can succeed personally and professionally, and for that reason, this is an award that is truly the result of the hard work of the more than 13,500 employees of SMS Holdings.”

The Nashville Business Journal has been saluting area businesses for 21 years, honoring them with Best in Business awards based on their employee size.  The awards salute entrepreneurial achievement, innovation and ongoing success.
