Block by Block Recognized by Providence City Council

On May 2, 2011, Block by Block was recognized by a Providence, Rhode Island City Council Resolution stating, “Be it resolved that the members of the Providence City Council hereby Acknowledge the efforts of the Downtown Improvement District’s Clean and Safety Team Yellow Jackets for the many hours devoted to snow removal to help the City of Providence get through the winter of 2010-2011.”

Providence received record snows over the 2010-2011 winter to the tune of 46.7 inches. Average seasonal snowfall for the area is 18.9 inches.

The Resolution was signed by Mayor Angel Taveras, Council President Michael Solomon and City Clerk Anna Stetson.
